Policy ID: COPYRIGHT_REMOVAL-InstaGet-v1.0

1) What InstaGet Is

InstaGet provides user-requested retrieval tools, a public Wiki-backed people catalog, links to third-party locations, and an access-controlled managed archive. In some workflows we may cache, transform, or store copies or metadata of material from third-party services. Archived post bodies and media are restricted and are not part of the public catalog. We are not affiliated with Instagram™ or Meta Platforms, Inc.

Public availability does not create a licence. Technical storage, caching, a user lookup, a user ID, or a “hosting,” “cloud storage,” or “archive” label does not establish ownership, consent, permission to reuse content, or eligibility for a statutory safe harbor.

2) What This Page Covers

  • Copyright & related IP complaints for material hosted/served by us (including cached copies we control).
  • Non-copyright removals (privacy, safety, impersonation, trademark, NCII, child safety) regarding material on InstaGet.
  • Link-only items: When we only reference/point to third-party content, we can remove or de-index the reference on InstaGet; we cannot remove content from third-party platforms—you must also contact them directly.

For the formal DMCA notice-and-takedown process (including counter-notice and repeat-infringer policy), see our DMCA Policy.

3) Owner / Rights-Holder Verification

To act quickly and avoid fraud, please include at least one (more is faster):

  • Email from a domain publicly associated with the rightsholder/brand.
  • Temporary token placed in the claimant’s public page/bio (e.g., “IG-Remove-1234”).
  • Media proof (“I posted X on Y date”) plus a verifiable hash/match of the media at issue.
  • Agent letter (attorney/brand agent) on letterhead or sent from a domain-verified address.

4) Scope of a Removal Request

Select one scope per request (we process broad scopes more carefully):

  • Specific URLs — list InstaGet URLs to remove/disable.
  • Entire profile — remove/disable all restricted InstaGet archive records that correspond to a specified third-party profile/handle.

We may use non-invasive identifiers (e.g., URLs, content hashes) to help prevent re-appearance of the same item on InstaGet (no guarantee of comprehensive filtering; no duty to monitor).

5) What We Will Remove

  • Valid copyright claims for material we host/serve (see DMCA Policy for formal requirements).
  • Trademark misuses likely to confuse users about source or affiliation.
  • Privacy/safety risks (e.g., doxxing, clear threats) after verification.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) — disabled swiftly pending verification.
  • Child sexual exploitation material — removed, evidence preserved, and reported to competent authorities as required by law.
  • Impersonation where users are misled about identity or affiliation.

6) What We Generally Do Not Remove

  • Material that remains publicly available at the third-party source, absent a valid copyright/IP claim, legal order, or clear safety/privacy risk.
  • Lawful criticism or commentary that does not infringe IP or violate applicable law.
  • Public records / official publications (unless legally ordered or corrected at the source).

If the content is still live on the third-party platform, you should pursue removal at the source as well. Removing a link on InstaGet does not remove the third-party copy.

7) Process, Timelines & “Disable Pending Verification”

  • Intake & Ticket: We assign a request ID and log timestamps and requested scope.
  • Verification: We confirm standing via §3. For emergencies (e.g., NCII, child safety), we may disable access immediately pending verification.
  • Action: If valid and within our control, we remove/disable the identified material on InstaGet and record actions taken.
  • Target first response: We aim to review or respond within 72 hours. Complex, unverifiable, high-volume, or legally sensitive requests may take longer.

8) Link-Only vs. Hosted Content

If the complained-of item is only a reference/link, we may remove or de-index the link on InstaGet; we cannot remove the third-party copy. For content hosted/served by us (including cached copies), we act under this Page and our DMCA Policy.

9) Repeat-Infringer & Abuse Controls

  • We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts or access after three (3) substantiated IP violations in a rolling 12-month period, or sooner in egregious cases.
  • We throttle automated submissions and may require CAPTCHA or additional verification for suspected abuse.
  • Knowingly false or misleading requests may lead to refusal, account restrictions, and (where applicable) legal remedies.

10) Evidence, Audit Trail & Privacy

  • We keep a limited audit trail (timestamps, request ID, scope, verification method, action taken) to demonstrate compliance.
  • We share notice details with affected users where feasible (excluding sensitive data) and may disclose information if required by law.

11) Sensitive Categories & Fast-Track

  • NCII / Child safety: Immediate disablement where credible; evidence preserved; legal reporting duties followed.
  • Precise location / doxxing: We may disable while verifying to mitigate harm.
  • People Data / broker records: Requests involving residential addresses, phone numbers, emails, voter/public-register data, minors, government-employee safety risk, biometric/Face Finder data, or suppressed profiles may be routed through our Privacy Request & Opt-Out Center.

11A) EU Notice-and-Action and Appeals

If you are in the EU, you may submit notices about illegal content, privacy violations, impersonation, unsafe material, unlawful People Data, or other illegal content under the Digital Services Act framework. Please include the exact URL, reason, legal basis, your contact information, and a good-faith statement. We may disable access pending review, provide decision information where required, and allow appeal or human review of moderation decisions.

12) No Duty to Monitor; No Admissions

We do not undertake to monitor all content or to proactively search for infringements. Our removals are good-faith responses and do not constitute admissions of liability or infringement. We reserve all rights, defenses, and safe harbors available at law.

13) How to Submit a Request

Use our preferred channel for speed, and include the verification described in §3:

Required fields

  • Your full name; role (Owner/Agent/Legal Rep); contact email; jurisdiction.
  • InstaGet URL(s) at issue (and, if relevant, the original third-party URL or handle).
  • Scope requested: specific URLs or entire profile.
  • Reason: copyright / trademark / privacy / safety / impersonation / other (with details).
  • Verification per §3; any supporting evidence (screenshots, hashes, brand registry IDs).
  • Attestations that your statements are accurate and you understand misuse may lead to refusal or legal remedies.

14) Relationship to Other Policies

For statutory copyright takedowns/counter-notices, see: DMCA Policy. For general site rules and repeat-infringer mechanics, see: Terms of Service. For data handling related to notices, see: Privacy Policy.
